Sarah's Specialized Approach
Sarah begins with the belief that students are in charge of their own lives, but parents and advisors lay the groundwork for them to make their best decisions. She uses techniques like motivational interviewing, strength-based coaching, and humor in her approach with students. She believes that building a good working relationship is key to the college advising process. When students can be honest and genuine, the best college fit falls into place more easily.

She was an English teacher in Japan for three and a half years and learned Japanese while she was there. She also studied Spanish in Oaxaca, Mexico.
